Traffic Calming Projects - In Construction

More traffic calming projects are coming soon!

The City is working to address speed compliance issues in Raleigh neighborhoods. We have designed several traffic calming projects to fulfill community needs. These projects are part of the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP), which allows residents to reach out to the City so we can aid in their goal of promoting safe public streets.

Our construction contractor completed several traffic calming projects in 2025 and 2026. Below is a table outlining our projects, their scopes, and construction stages.

Fall 2026 Traffic Calming Projects
 

On Tuesday, Aug. 18, the Raleigh City Council awarded the construction contract for the FY25 Traffic Calming Projects to Browe Construction Company in the amount of $1,400,596. 

Construction is expected to start this October.
